At High Street Dental Dental Clinic, we are committed to providing our patients with the latest technology and state-of-the-art facilities. We use advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to ensure that our patients receive the most accurate diagnoses and effective treatments possible.
Lead dentist: Dr. Zeynab Shafe
Dr. Zeynab Shafe has been a dedicated dentist since 1999. She began her university education in Oslo, the capital of Norway, in 1991, and in 1994, she started her dental education in Bergen, Norway, completing her degree in 1999. From 2002 until 2013, she operated her private general dental office in Bergen while also teaching for three years in the periodontology (gum disease) department at the University of Bergen. Dr. Shafe skillfully balanced her practice and teaching until she relocated to Canada in 2013/14, where she obtained her Canadian dental certification in 2016.
In 2018, Dr. Shafe opened her first Canadian dental office, Nordic Dentistry, in Kitchener, Ontario, and successfully managed her practice for about five years before moving to Richmond Hill (10200 Yonge Street) to be closer to her family. Recently, she completed the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario’s Quality Assurance Program, achieving high marks that exceeded the average score. Dr. Shafe is committed to providing high-end dental care and frequently attends continuing education programs, both in person and online, to remain updated on the latest methods and materials in the dental industry. In 2022, she opened a second clinic, Norden Dental, in Richmond Hill.
Dr. Shafe is passionate about her work and genuinely enjoys helping people. With extensive experience treating patients with Odontophobia (fear of dental work), she adopts a calm and friendly approach, creating a welcoming atmosphere in her general dental office. Her multicultural background enhances her ability to contribute positively to the community, as she celebrates diversity and maintains a zero-tolerance policy for racism or bigotry. Having lived and studied in Norway since she was 18, Dr. Shafe speaks and understands Scandinavian languages, along with Farsi and English. In her personal life, she cherishes time spent as a mother to two daughters—her oldest is a practicing lawyer, and her youngest is on track to graduate soon with outstanding achievements from a Toronto university undergraduate program. Outside of work, Dr. Shafe enjoys exploring nature, attending cultural events, and discovering Canada with her husband.
